Last 3 books I’ve read…What are yours?

It's always interesting to me what books other people find fascinating.  I’d love to hear what yours are after checking out mine :)unnamed (1).jpg

Velocity Overdrive - Amazing book by one of, if not THE greatest used car professional in the world Dale Pollak.  A book about how the used market is changing with all the new technology available and much much more.  Highly recommend if you are at all in car sales. Steve Jobs - One of the best books I’ve ever read,  gives a...

Go above & beyond

Have you ever heard of this term? Is this something you practice everyday in your job,  business, relationships?

From my experience this is a KEY part to succeeding at whatever it is you want in life.  Let’s say you’re currently working a job , and you want to get a raise, what would you think they best way to go about that would be?  What I’ve found is that if you go ABOVE & BEYOND what you’re paid to do for an extended period of time, you WILL end up getting a raise.  What I always did was find out what MY boss needed to report to their boss and I would focus on doing everything that made them look better to THEIR boss.  It’s the “help enough people get what they want, and you’ll end up...

Why Reverse Dealer and not the old school dealership method?

To answer this question we have look at the incentives of each dealer.

Incentive of “old school dealership”: To buy low and sell high as many vehicles as possible in any given period of time.  Paid off commission, the less a dealer pays you for a trade-in  and the more they sell it for the MORE money they make. So their incentive is to MAXIMIZE profit from buying LOW from 1 client then selling HIGH to another..

Note: Buyer and seller have NO idea how much the dealership made off of them

Principles, thoughts and quotes Reverse Dealer was built on!

The image below is something I filled out on a day to day basis as I was developing the business plan of Reverse.  This board helped me overcome my fears and was the something that really helped me work up the nerve to quit my secure full time job.

My top 3 change all the time, but as of right now mine are: Don’t look forward to sleep, Go all in, Give up something “good” for something “GREAT!”

What are your top 3 and how do they resonate with you and your...

The man that wants to save you money Part II

Quick recap, Winter 2014 I froze outside a car wash with a pop up tent and paid for people's car washes if they would just listen to what I wanted to do the auto industry, which was to help people buy & sell their vehicles for FAIR prices! I got a few cars, started needing client vehicle storage as well as having to figure out a balance in my life to maintain the workload and the people in my life I love.

So, around Feb/Mar...

#Grind&Grow

A lot of people may disagree with me on this one, but I feel it’s totally been true in  my life.  What i’ve found is that when you work harder in your life your life feels like it becomes easier and less stressful.  I’m not talking solely about work work, like a 9-5, I do mean that, but I also mean working hard on relationships (personal & business), I also mean working on your health, and any other important things in your life. grind.jpg

Hey, Auto Dealerships don’t want you to know about this one specific auto dealer!

Traditional car dealerships have basically been operated the exact same way for the past 100 years.  The entire business model of a traditional auto dealership is one we ALLLL know and have been apart of, that model is to; buy low & sell high!

So if we think about that concept right now and imagine ourselves at a dealership, and let’s pretend we’re about to trade-in our vehicle for another vehicle (new or used, doesn’t matter)

From the dealerships perspective, they’re goal is to pay you as little as possible because the employees at the dealership are paid off profit, so the less they give you for your trade-in, the more money they can make when they sell it again to...

Persist like you can’t resist

Persist like you can’t resist

I’ve found over the years that one of the MAJOR reasons people do not accomplish what they truly want in there life is because they DO NOT persist.

Definition:

Lack of persistence causes pain almost every time, it causes a feeling of being let down or given up on. Have you ever experienced being “give up on” in any part of your life?   For example, in relationships i’ve noticed most people end up getting divorced/separated...

Too wake up or sleep in, that is the question!

Too wake up or sleep in, that is the question!

Figured I write about the difference between waking up early and getting up last minute because i’m working on getting good again at it :)

When I sit back and think about whether my days are better sleeping in or waking up early... What I’ve found personally is when waking up late, my days feel rushed and I cannot prepare properly for what is coming and I feel like I...

The man that wants to save you money!

The man that wants to save you money!

Come on the journey with me...

At first, I quit my 6 figure income position to do EVERYTHING in my power to change what I felt was a “flawed” industry...the car sales industry.

I quit Sept 30th 2014 and worked a deal with a great man named Shane Mooney, the owner of Big Dogs Truck & Car Wash in Red Deer AB.  He allowed me to put up my logo’d pop-up tent near the entrance to his wash.  Throughout the winter of 2014 I sat out there by myself in the harsh, freezing alberta winter offering his clients a free car wash if they would just listen to my new business idea the beginning.jpg Read More
